Academic Research Staff (FU) (bachelor) at the Erler group at BRIC

The research group of Prof Janine Erler is looking for an engaged Academic Research Staff with experience in studying the extracellular matrix in cancer progression. The position is for 1 year and is immediately open for appointments.

About us

The Erler group studies how cancer spreads through the body and grows at new sites. We focus on how the tumor microenvironment regulates cells to identify and test new strategies to combat metastatic tumor growth. We foster a culture of teamwork, diversity, inclusivity and innovation.

Your tasks

As our Academic Research Staff member, you will carry out a number of routine laboratory tasks, e.g. molecular biology and tissue culture, preparation of laboratory reagents and other daily lab routines. You will also participate in various research projects that involve studying cancer progression and close collaboration with the group’s scientists.

Profile

Essential experience and skills:

It is important that you have experience with extracellular matrix and cell signalling in cancer progression.

  • As minimum should hold a bachelor’s degree in molecular Biomedicine
  • You must be good at working independently and organized, and be self-motivated
  • Have good interpersonal and communication skills, both in Danish and English; spoken as written

  • Preparing reagents
  • Mammalian cell culture
  • Tissue decellularization
  • Immunohistochemistry
  • Microscopy work
  • Image analysis
  • QRT-PCR
  • Western blots
  • Data analysis
Terms of salary and employment

Your employment will be at BRIC, University of Copenhagen. The position is 15 hours per week and for 1 year, and it is open for appointment as soon as possible.

You are employed as an academic employee FU (bachelor's degree) in accordance with the agreement for Academics in the State.

Remuneration in accordance with the AC agreement is based on seniority. There will be an opportunity to negotiate additional supplements based on qualifications.
